Barnegat man killed in Parkway crash.

A 35-year-old Barnegat man was killed Saturday night after his car crashed into several trees off the Garden State Parkway, police said.
Daniel Forrest was driving a Ford Explorer southbound near milepost 69.9 in Ocean Township, Ocean County, when his car went off the road to the left and struck several trees in the median, said Trooper Alejandro Goez, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police.
Goez said rain caused wet conditions on the road, but the cause of the crash remains under investigation. It was reported to police at 10:21 p.m.
There were no other cars involved, Goez said.
A passenger in the Explorer, Kelly Jarossy, 37, of Beachwood, suffered serious injuries and was taken to The Trauma Center at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City.
The Barnegat Fire Department also responded to the scene to extinguish flames after the car caught fire, Goez said.
