5 car crash on Route 72, Stafford

On March 6, 2017 at approximately 12:30 PM, The Stafford Township Police Department responded to a crash involving multiple vehicles and a tractor trailer.  Preliminary investigation revealed the tractor trailer being driven by Joseph P McGinley, 37 years old of Coatesville, PA was traveling west on Route 72 approaching Marsha Drive.  As the tractor trailer approached Marsha Drive, it struck a silver colored Nissan sedan being driven by Denise Brown, 64 years old of Manahawkin, NJ, a white colored Honda CRV being driven by Charity Quinn, 70 years old of Radnor, PA, and a silver colored Ford Focus being driven by Michael Kirk, 37 year old of Forked River, NJ.  The Ford Focus then struck a white truck being driven by Robert Esterlund of Bellmawr, NJ.  
As a result of the impacts all vehicles had to be towed from the scene.  
Mrs. Baker, Mrs. Quinn and Mr. Kirk sustained minor injuries and were transported to the Southern Ocean Medical Center.  Mr. McGinley and Mr. Esterlund did not sustain any injuries as a result of this crash. 
Traffic on Route 72 was stopped and rerouted around the scene for approximately an hour.
Ptl. Jillson is the investigating officer.  Assisting on scene were the Stafford Township Volunteer EMS. 
Mr. McGinley received a summon for careless driving.  This matter is pending a future court date in Stafford Township Municipal Court.
